 The fine print:
You will receive a receipt in the VB2000 Support Tab which will serve as your proof of purchase.

You are buying is the right to use the software.  You are also buying updates to the software for 2 years.   After 2 years of updates, there will be a small fee for an additional period of updates (approximately $10.00 per year).  If you choose not to get the updates, the software should still work, until UAL changes their data format.   The Pilot PBS Helper requires $10.00 per year after 2 years.
